Bylaw Updates

At the regular Council meeting on Monday March 25 the Fire Services and Noise Bylaws had first readings. Second and third readings are scheduled for April 8th. Public comments or questions on the bylaws may be made by emailing Townoffice@bowisland.com or calling CAO Dave Matz at 403-545-2522.

 

The Fire Service Bylaw was updated to include a specific definition of a backyard firepit including dimensions of the fire pit and placement of a fire pit to ensure safe use.

The Noise Bylaw has been updated to change quiet time from 9:00 pm to begin at 10:00 pm. And the use of equipment such as snow blowers and leaf blowers was better defined.
