The Town of Bow Island would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mayor Gordon Reynolds on this incredible accomplishment and well-deserved recognition from the Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta!
For the past 10–15 years, Gordon has been a familiar and dedicated face in our community, generously giving his time, leadership, and energy to help make Bow Island a stronger place to live, work, and raise a family.
When Bow Island faced a significant healthcare challenge in early 2025, with only one physician serving our community, Gordon recognized the importance of taking action. He spearheaded an ambitious initiative to take over the community medical clinic and establish a for-profit Municipally Controlled Corporation (MCC)—an innovative approach designed to strengthen healthcare services and create a better foundation for recruiting and retaining physicians in our community.
This accomplishment is a true reflection of what community leadership is all about: seeing a need, taking action, bringing people together, and creating solutions that will benefit our community for generations to come.
We are incredibly proud to have Gordon representing our community and are grateful for the countless hours, dedication, and passion he continues to give to Bow Island.
