Island 100 Initiative

We are delighted to share that Diamond C is completed and will be ready for use!  Thanks to the support from the Island 100 Initiative, we have successfully constructed 2 brand new dugouts, which now feature signage on the back. If you have the opportunity, please visit Bert Knibbs Ball Park, located on the Kelly Byam Diamond facing west, to view the Island 100 Initiative banner. The Dugouts created by Jayco Builders and we couldn’t be happier with how they are turning out!

For the Island 100 Initiative 2026, we have started to collect payments and cash donation receipts until end of November and we are still looking for around 20 new members to join!

Island 100 Initiative

We are thrilled to announce that the Island 100 Initiative has successfully reached our goal of the accumulation of $10,000.00!!

We would like to begin by acknowledging AgroPlus Inc, located in Foremost, for their generous donation of $2,500. This contribution not only highlights the need for recreational opportunities in the Town of Bow Island but also reflects the broader aspirations of the county as a whole. Thank you, AgroPlus Inc & team, for your outstanding support!

Additionally, we would like to recognize the Wilson Family—Mike, Sheila, Blakely, and Aryanna—for their generous contribution of $500 to the Island 100 Initiative. Mike, who grew up in Bow Island, holds many cherished memories of the outdoor pool, as well as playing hockey and curling. Mike expressed, "I am so happy to give back to the community that raised me and did so much for me!" We deeply appreciate the Wilson family's significant role in helping us realize our vision for future generations.

Finally, The North Forty Mile Recreation Society extends its biggest thanks to YOU! Thank you to everyone, all the businesses, families and individuals who have contributed, helped spread the word, and believes in our mission, we couldn’t have done this without your support!!
