What is the Housing Acceleration Initiative?
The Housing Acceleration Initiative is a program designed to encourage home construction, diversify the housing market, and boost economic activity in the Town. This tax credit initiative provides eligible residential property owners with a one-time relief, with a particular emphasis on apartments, Semi detached and Multi-unit dwellings.
New housing build will receive a one-time tax credit applied towards the municipal portion of the property tax bill.
Tax credits are first come first served with applications open now and tax credits to begin in the 2025 Tax Year.

A Tax credit amount will vary based on the type of residential property:
- Apartment Buildings: $5000.00 / Per Unit
- Semi Detached and Multi Unit Dwellings: $7500.00 / Per Unit
